There's something unquestionably chilling about the idea that a select minority are born "betters". Yet I'm obsessively fascinated by the aristocracy. Not so much the coke snorting 21st century Tara Palmer-Tompkinson era aristocracy; more along the "lines" of the 20th century coke snorting Stephen Tennant era aristocracy.
